Sebe Brown is the field crops Extension entomologist at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson. He has a 25% research and 75% Extension appointment. Brown performs applied research related to field crop entomology, addressing current and emerging issues in row crops, such as evaluation of IPM tactics, insecticide efficacy and resistance, and transgenic technologies for Tennessee producers. His Extension philosophy is centered on communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, such as county agents and growers. Brown received a BS in entomology from Texas A&M University and an MS and a PhD in entomology from Louisiana State University.
