Summary

Pivots are able to produce “rain” when needed, allowing for a more uniform emergence, reducing stress on the plants and also allows for adding moisture for planting. Being able to activate chemicals when needed is another plus to a pivot. Watering cotton is also great for managing your crop for timely harvesting. The technology for pivots is increasing by the day such as Variable Rate Irrigation that allows the grower to water under the pivot based on soil type to avoid over watering and/or under watering. Remote monitoring and control has become incredible allowing growers to monitor and control their pivots from portable devices such as smart phones and tablets.
