Summary

​Searching for and quickly finding the most current cotton production information on the internet can certainly be an overwhelming task. Cotton Incorporated’s Cotton Cultivated website is aimed at helping users find cotton specific information as quickly and easily as possible. This presentation will help consultants, growers, and other practitioners in cotton growing regions understand what types of content and features are available on the website. Specifically in this presentation, practitioners will learn how to navigate the site, search for information, find links to resources, download files, as well as browse news and daily monitoring information.

About the Presenter

Ryan KurtzRyan Kurtz is a Director in the Agricultural & Environmental Research Department at Cotton Incorporated. In this role, Ryan develops and administers an entomology research program aimed at improving production efficiency and profitability as well as reducing cotton’s environmental impact. Prior to joining Cotton Incorporated, Ryan worked for Syngenta as the Lead for Traits Insect Resistance Management (IRM). In this role, Ryan provided IRM expertise in support of research and development projects, product registrations, new active ingredient discovery, as well as stewardship for Syngenta's transgenic insecticidal traits. He holds a BS in Agricultural Pest Management from Mississippi State University and a PhD in Entomology from North Carolina State University.​​
