Summary

With increasing regulations and concerns about drift, precision spray technologies are becoming more important for safe and effective application of pesticides. This presentation provides an overview of the latest pesticide technologies, including low-drift nozzles, PWM technology, and auto-boom height systems, available for application equipment, along with information on useful resources and tools that cotton growers can use for efficient pesticide applications. ​​

About the Presenter

Simerjeet Virk Simerjeet Virk is an assistant professor and Extension precision agriculture specialist at the University of Georgia. He has an MS in biosystems engineering from Auburn University and a PhD in agricultural engineering from the University of Georgia. Dr. Virk’s research and Extension program focuses on evaluating the latest precision ag technologies for precision application and placement of crop inputs and providing research-based information on technology adoption and effective implementation to producers to maximize crop productivity and overall farm profitability.​​
