Summary

​This presentation will help consultants, farmers, and other practitioners in the Midwestern region understand how foliar fungicides alone and in combination with insecticides affect soybean yields. Specifically, in this presentation, listeners will learn why foliar fungicides have emerged as an important disease management tool for soybean farmers during the past ten years and see the results of foliar fungicides and fungicide plus insecticide tank mixes. By the end of this presentation, the practitioner should know more about the use of fungicides and possible implications of fungicide use.

About the Presenter

Daren MuellerDaren Mueller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology at Iowa State University. He earned his BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and his MS and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois. Dr. Mueller leads a soybean pathology program and coordinates the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. His research focuses on improving soybean disease management. The IPM program focuses on developing educational materials to help farmers and agronomists make sound pest management decisions.​
