Summary

This presentation will help consultants, growers, and other practitioners in the soybean production regions of the United States make decisions on the use of seed treatment products marketed for nematode management in soybean. This program reviews the commonly marketed seed treatment products for soybean nematode management and overviews their active ingredients and modes of action. A summary of a current soybean checkoff funded project in the North Central Region of the U.S. is provided with 30 field trial locations from 2011. The main emphasis of this program is on soybean cyst nematode. By the end of this presentation, the practitioner should know more about seed treatments for nematode management in soybean and have a better understanding of what to expect from said treatments.
